Chrysinos Monastery in Kleinos
It is located in the location “Bouziana”, 680m above the sea level. Only the catholic is preserved till today. From the magnificent, two-storey cell wing that was lying in the northern and western side, only the outer walls with the wood fixing are preserved.
The present monastery was built in the memory of the homonymous destroyed monastery which was built a little lower in the location “Chrysino”. The catholic, which is a single-room church, is decorated with wall paintings, work of Kalarrytes painters in 1740.
It has been proclaimed a historical monument. Makarios, the first sketer of Stagoi (Doupiani) came from Chrysinos before the middle of the 14th century. Later on, he returned and led a secluded life there.
Saint Apostles’ Monastery in Kleinos
It is located 1,160m above the sea level and 2Km northeast of the Kleinovos settlement.
Only the catholic is preserved, which is built according to the architectural style of the catholics in Mount Athos, the so-called Athonian style, with wall paintings made by Samarinaian painters. Worth mentioning is the saying, written in three different languages: the ecclesiastical, the modern Greek and the koutsovlachiki.

It is one of the rare samples of cross-roofed churches in Thessaly, dating back to 1778.
